Our 2017 Frederick William Santa Cruz Mountains Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon produced from a Single Vineyard in Los Altos Hills located in the Bay Area of Northern California. Barrel Aged in 50% new French Oak and 50% second fill French Oak for 24 months, this Cabernet is balanced, layered and complex providing a nuanced, chameleon like experience as it opens and the aromas and flavors evolve.
Our 2013 Frederick William Syrah was a riper vintage due to a week of warm weather prior to harvest and crush. We had 100º weather in Corralitos for two days over a weekend and picked an crushed on an early Monday morning. 50% whole berry and 50% crushed fruit. Temperature cooled significantly for fermentation and lasted 10 days. Alcohol of 14.0%. 50% new and 50% third fill French oak barrels.
2012 Sonoma Coast Merlot was picked an harvested from a vineyard on the east side of the Sonoma Coast. The wine is made for us by Chris Condos of Horse and Plow and Vinum Cellars in Sonoma and Napa. A traditional Merlot in style, it has bing cherry and blackberry fruits with hints of mocha, tobacco and tar with dry finishing tannins. 14.2% alcohol.
