Our 2013 Frederick William Syrah was a riper vintage due to a week of warm weather prior to harvest and crush. We had 100º weather in Corralitos for two days over a weekend and picked an crushed on an early Monday morning. 50% whole berry and 50% crushed fruit. Temperature cooled significantly for fermentation and lasted 10 days. Alcohol of 14.0%. 50% new and 50% third fill French oak barrels.
2012 Sonoma Coast Merlot was picked an harvested from a vineyard on the east side of the Sonoma Coast. The wine is made for us by Chris Condos of Horse and Plow and Vinum Cellars in Sonoma and Napa. A traditional Merlot in style, it has bing cherry and blackberry fruits with hints of mocha, tobacco and tar with dry finishing tannins. 14.2% alcohol.
2011 Acuity is an Iberian field blend comprised predominantly of Tempranillo, Grenache, Mourvedre, and Touriga. It is a fun wine that has lots of pleasant surprises on the palate and nose. This wine pairs well with spicy, rich foods and is a crowd pleaser. 14.8% alcohol.
